Battle Creek Health System was created in 1988 by the merger of Community and Leila hospitals. The purpose was to join the resources of these two community care providers in forming a more robust system of care better capable of meeting the needs of the surrounding communities. Today, the Health System is much more than just a community hospital. It includes the following:The Fieldstone Center - an inpatient and outpatient mental health facility with programs dedicated to the needs of adult and senior populations.Cancer Care Center - Nationally accredited as a "Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program", the Center offers a full-range of outstanding cancer treatment, access to cutting edge clinical trials, and a caring and talented multi-disciplinary support staff.
