FACULTY Led by Artistic Director Bruce Steivel, Bay Pointe Ballet School offers students and professionals in the Bay Area with the highest quality dance training. The faculty is dedicated to providing exceptional dance education, with an emphasis on nurturing and fostering creative and artistic expression among children and professionals alike.

Internationally known choreographer and teacher Bruce Steivel dreamed of building a company that his ballets called home and a traditional ballet school where dancers could have the opportunity to grow up into a professional company. Together with Co-Founder Sharon Torrano and with the support of many others, Bay Pointe Ballet was founded in April of 2013. After a month full of meetings and vision casting with a newly assembled board of directors, Bay Pointe Ballet began to take form and the first company audition took place in May. Held at Lines Dance Center in San Francisco, rumor had spread of our budding company and dozens of dancers arrived, all hoping to be awarded a company contract. As Artistic Director, Bruce Steivel selected and hired 32 dancers to comprise a full corps de ballet with soloists and principals.

SEASON KICKOFF FUNDRAISING GALA: September 6, 2014 Following a successful first year, Bay Pointe Ballet is now entering a second phase of growth. This second season Bay Pointe Ballet's professional company will be presenting 3 full-length ballets; Bruce Steivel's Peter Pan, Nutcracker and Coppelia, as well as a second annual New Works Series performance. Auditions for the new season have been held and the company's standard of excellence is continuing to rise. Bay Pointe Ballet School is also expanding, and we are fervently working to provide the highest quality dance training in the Bay Area. We are on track to become a new force in the ballet community, but we need your help. Admission to the event is $10 (standing room) or $20 (seating), including pre- and post- receptions. We also invite you to donate to our campaign to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal.
