Founded in 1977, Baywood Development is a privately owned home builder in Southern California. Primarily a niche builder, Baywood has won national recognition for its unique and visionary designs. Founder Bill Watt and co-owner Neal Pedersen pride themselves on hiring the most talented design professionals for each neighborhood. The relatively small scale of Baywood enable Bill and Neal to be personally involved in the design and construction of their homes and neighborhoods; thus ensuring that the aspirations and expectations of potential home owners are satisfied. Creative solutions are their stock in trade. Eschewing quantity for quality, they focus their resources on only a handful of projects at a time. The result is added value through uniquely livable design and attention to detail. Bill and Neal work closely with their sales staff and trade partners to ensure quality results. They are dedicated to providing homeowners with expert guidance and attentive service. Baywood Development has received multiple Home of the Year awards for the Baywood Collection and the Sentinels, both of which are in the award winning community of Santaluz in San Diego County, California. Coming from a family of home builders, Watt has been in the business himself since 1963. He serves as Baywood's president. Pedersen, who has worked in construction and management since 1970, serves as executive vice president.
