Our attorneys have many years of experience in resolving all kinds and sizes of construction disputes. These include ordinary payment claims, as well as complex claims involving disputed change orders, project delays, design and/or construction errors, and lost profits. We have also dealt with disputes involving multiple prime contractors. Our clients include corporate and institutional owners, developers, bond sureties, surety consultants, general contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and design professionals.

BLF has extensive experience in the federal and state appellate courts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and other jurisdictions. We have handled appeals which originated from cases where BLF served as trial counsel, as well as appeals in which another firm served as trial counsel and we were retained for the appeal.

BLF has extensive experience in the areas of eminent domain and condemnation. Founding shareholder Richard Bazelon served as the Chairman of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia for many years, and he now frequently represents property owners whose land has been condemned by the government as well as government entities in their role as condemnor. On behalf of its clients, BLF has both challenged condemnations, and also has sought to maximize the compensation that is due to the property owner.

Founded in 1983, Bazelon Less & Feldman was born of a belief that most commercial litigation matters could best be handled by a small group of highly talented and experienced litigators. Over the last thirty years, as that belief became reality, the Firm earned a reputation for taking on significant and ground-breaking cases for clients large and small.

BLF has represented banks and other financial services clients in multi-million dollar disputes, many of which have involved fraud by third parties. BLF has developed particular expertise in the field of mortgage financing, including warehouse lending and secondary market transactions. BLF also has experience in collections from commercial entities, from judgment to liquidation of commercial and guarantor assets.
