Description

Tom has been a Marshall resident for over 30 years. He has enjoyed a career in real estate development and construction for over 50 years. He has been involved in the long term care industry for over 25 years. The BBBC has been fortunate to have Tom as part of the board for over 15 years. He currently serves as Chairman Emeritus.

Jim Niewenhuis works with Regional Pathology Consultants, a group providing pathology services to the hospitals in Battle Creek, Marshall, and Charlotte. He grew up in Michigan, New Jersey, and South Dakota, and then attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. He went to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, and received his pathology training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. After working for 4 years in Atlanta, GA, he moved to Battle Creek in 1998, and has attended BBBC concerts each year since then.

Mr. Kitsopoulos is in his third season as music director of the Queens Symphony Orchestra and continues as general director of Chatham Opera, which he founded in 2005. This season Mr. Kitsopoulos also makes debuts with the New York Pops, Colorado Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Houston Symphony, Elgin Symphony and Westchester Philharmonic In the 2007-2008 season, Mr. Kitsopoulos returned to the Baltimore, Detroit, Hartford and Milwaukee symphonies in addition to making his debuts with the San Francisco, Mobile, Princeton and Virginia symphonies.
