The Local History Librarian collects all available information on the history of Boone County and its families. As a result, Boone County Public Library has the most comprehensive collection of Boone County historical information. The collection includes: - personal letters and diaries - church records and research from local historians - digital photographs of families, events, and buildings - donated family files, county records, and cemetery transcriptions The Local History and Genealogy collection is available during library hours. One-on-one local history and genealogy reference service is available by appointment.
