October 11, 2007 - November 10, 2007 Peggy Mason's most recently completed work follows a plein air painters course in Canada which she completed this past summer. The work demonstrates her French eye for impressionistic lighting and color. The subject matter ranges from lanquishing sailboats on a sunset/sunrise ocean to beautiful and picturesque views of mountains and lakes. The consistent use of the effects of the sunlight on both mountain and ocean scenes demonstrates Mason's love of the outdoors and her ability to impart that love in her paintings; there is a sultry passion evoked in each of her works. The soft tones and color remind the viewer of the power of first and last light.
