After graduating from Granada Hills High School, Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California in 1994. Michael completed his graduate training in Physical Therapy and received his Master of Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2000. Michael has worked for Orlin and Cohen Orthopedic Associates in Rockville Centre, N.Y.. He began with Orlin and Cohen Orthopedics as a physical therapy aide in 1996 and was hired as a physical therapist in 2000. He was responsible for the evaluation and treatment of all orthopedic diagnoses. In 2002, Michael became the Director of Physical Therapy and co-owner of Healthtech Associates in Merrick, N.Y.. In 2003, Michael and his wife Kelly opened Bellmore Physical Therapy. Michael has always been involved and interested in the care of injured athletes. He has participated in numerous recreational sports leagues around Long Island and has seen his share of orthopedic injuries. Michael has worked in a variety of different practices and has extensive experience treating injured athletes. Michael is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. He has instructed and supervised physical therapy students. Michael, his wife and three son's presently reside in Wantagh, N.Y.. Kelly graduated from Kean University in Union, N.J. in 1998 with an undergraduate degree in Biology and completed her physical therapy training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, N.J. in 2000 receiving a Master of Science degree. Upon graduating, Kelly worked for the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, N.J. in the inpatient rehabilitation department and the JFK Pediatric Rehabilitation in outpatient rehabilitation, school based therapy, and Early Intervention home care. After relocating to Long Island in 2002, Kelly worked in the Elmont Public Schools during the 2002-2004 school years, Winthrop University Hospital Home Care Agency treating primarily babies discharged from the NICU, and home care through Early Intervention. In 2003, Kelly and her husband Mike opened Bellmore Physical Therapy / Just for Kids Physical Therapy. The focus of her practice is in the evaluation and treatment of children birth through 21 years with diagnoses including torticollis, cerebral palsy, toe walking, and various orthopedic conditions. She attends continuing education courses and has been a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. Kelly is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, New York Physical Therapy Association, and the Pediatric Section of the APTA. Kelly, her husband and three son's presently reside in Wantagh, N.Y..
