Description

As principal of Benefit Expo, William Curtin sets the strategic vision and direction of the company. Having founded Benefit Expo with more than 23 years experience in the employee benefits field, he brings a diverse perspective to the company. Curtin has held senior management roles in sales, marketing, and operations with mutual, not for profit and public stock Insurance companies. William’s account management experience spans the entire spectrum of health and welfare plans serving fortune 500 and large middle market employers while with carriers Met Life, United Healthcare, BC/BS and CIGNA. William acquired knowledge of the employer perspective as Vice President for Marsh’s southeastern employee benefits consulting practice. He developed a thorough knowledge of medical providers interest as a founding member of Lifeway, a disease and physician practice management company. William earned a B.A. from Penn State University and an M.B.A with a concentration in Health Administration from the University of Miami . Through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, he has achieved the Professional Designation CEBS, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist. William maintains multi state insurance licenses in Life, Health, Property & casualty. He is a registered NASD representative. To stay abreast of industry developments, William is an appointed member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. William takes an active interest in his community and is an appointed member to the City of Coral Gables Pension Advisory Board , member of The City of Coral Gables and Greater Miami Chambers of Commerce. He currently resides in Coral Gables Florida with his wife Maureen and enjoys the many out door activities the area offers.
