Description
Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Liberal Arts, with a degree in psychology. After five years of active duty in the U.S. Navy, he entered the insurance industry in 1977. Jim began his career with individual products and soon recognized a need for group products to benefit employees. This was the catalyst for Benefits Plus, LLC, formed to offer benefits through the finest insurance companies. Jim’s professional designations include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). In addition to running the business, Jim is an active member of the Bloomington Rotary Club, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, and Minnesota Valley Country Club. He enthusiastically fundraises for San Miguel Middle School, Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School, and several other non-profit organizations. During his free time, Jim plays golf and travels to Florida with his wife, Dolores, and daughters, Michelle, Nicole, and Melissa.
