Description

Employers are now required to provide medical treatment from the moment they receive the DWC-1 claim form from the employee. Previously, if a claim was questionable the employer did not have to provide medical treatment until compensability was determined and they had up to 90 days to determine compensability. The employer still has the ability to determine compensability but cannot delay medical treatment while it is being done. The maximum expenditure is $10,000.00
