Georgella Muirhead, APR Partner/President Georgella Muirhead served 24 years as Senior Public Relations Administrator in the Michigan cities of Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Southfield and Detroit. She also held the position of Director of Communications for the Wayne County Commission and operated Georgella Muirhead Communications, Incorporated before forming Berg Muirhead and Associates. Georgella is a multi-faceted practitioner whose specialties include community relations and event planning. Her community relations skills have been demonstrated in each of the four cities she has served and in the private sector. She has received 28 national, state, and local awards for outstanding public relations and cable television programming. In 1992, Georgella was the recipient of the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil Award, the highest award given by PRSA, for Excellence in Public Service-Government Communications. She is an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations Society of America. Bob Berg Partner/Vice President Bob Berg began his career as a reporter for United Press International (UPI) in Des Moines, Iowa before becoming bureau chief in Lincoln, Nebraska and Lansing, Michigan. He later became Michigan Capitol bureau chief for Panax Newspapers. Bob served as senior public affairs advisor to two of Michigan’s longest serving Chief Executives, as Executive Assistant for Public Affairs to Michigan Governor William G. Milliken from 1977-1982, and then as Press Secretary to Detroit Mayor Coleman A. Young from 1983 through 1993. He serves as a consultant to Detroit Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick and assisted Kilpatrick in both of his successful runs for Mayor. Bob has earned the reputation as a valued media relations specialist because of his “no garbage attitude” and keen understanding of how to package information. As a former member of the media, he understands what is newsworthy and has made a conscious effort not to waste the media’s time with “junk.” His long career working with high profile public officials has helped him develop key media contacts throughout the region and state. Jacqueline Robinson Account Supervisor Jacqueline Robinson joined Berg Muirhead in 2002 . She is skilled in media relations, community outreach, event planning and campaign development. Jacqueline has a track record of successfully leading account teams in high profile projects for both public and private sector client. As a project manager on the 2008 Myrtle Beach Democratic Presidential Debate communications team, she was responsible for media outreach and debate logistics. Jacqueline also led the account team for the Skillman Foundation's Good Neighborhoods Initiative. Prior to joining Berg Muirhead, Jacqueline served as communications director for Resurrection Promise Church in Detroit. Jacqueline is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Black Alliance for Educational Options. Peter Van Dyke Account Supervisor Peter Van Dyke is skilled in several areas of public relations including media relations, community relations, event planning, marketing, copy and editorial writing, and media production.
