Description

Berkeley Partners for Parks (BPFP) is a citywide nonprofit organization devoted to supporting and developing parks, community gardens, and open space in Berkeley through encouraging citizen involvement and support. BPFP intends to play an instrumental role in bringing additional funding and thousands of hours of volunteer labor ("sweat equity") to bear on improving Berkeley's parks, community gardens, and open space. BPFP sponsors "adopt-a-park" groups, which work in partnership with the City and local businesses and organizations to carry out innovative projects and achieve visible results in parks and community gardens throughout the City of Berkeley.
