It seemed the most significant day to memorialize David since he never took his time on earth for granted. David loved his garden, he loved nature and most importantly he loved his trees. A mighty oak was the most appropriate tree to plant in memory of David because his presence was similar to that of a giant Oak, mighty and large and great. The new addition to the garden arrived just as David did into this world, just as Dave came into this world, young and vulnerable facing the challenges of life ahead. Just as he was nurtured by a loving family, the gardeners at Bethany Village will nurture this tree. Just as he grew into a wonderful creature on this planet with a larger than life presence, one day, so will this tree. We will always miss David Mraz but each time we look out our windows and into the garden, we will remember Dave, mighty and majestic.
