Bifocal Media began in 1997 when Brad Scott and I (Charles Cardello) began work on the "Actuality of Thought" video. We were both production students in Greenville, NC. Brad finished a year before me and went on to a job at a local video production company. I was busy trying to finish up two degrees: one in graphic design and one in media production. We has worked together in school when he helped me with a bmx video that I was putting together. Anyway, Brad hooked me up with an internship at this production company and we started throwing around ideas about creating a joint video project. We had access to all this professional quality equipment and we were ready to take advantage of it. To make a long story shorter, we ended up making bifocal1, the "Actuality of Thought" video. I was putting on hardcore shows in town and as bands would come through we would take them and ask if they were cool with being in our artsy fartsy flicks...
