Morning Star Automotive was incorporated in May of 1989. We adapted our name from our family farm which was called Morning Star Farms. Our goal is to provide vehicles, trailers, RV's, toppers, and other similar commodities to customers in an ethical manner and to provide individuals in small communities with the opportunity to earn a stable income. Our first store was established in Salida Colorado.

Our primary goal is to serve our customers in a fair and honest manner while providing only the very best pre-owned vehicles, new and used trailers, and toppers.

The Montrose location was purchased in 1998, and boasts a whopping 3.5 acres. There we maintain a large inventory of utility trailers, vehicles, and toppers. Team Montrose is dedicated to serving the Western Slope and draws from cities many miles away.
