Bilco Brick began production on March 1, 1955. With a handmixer and three employees, the company churned out 3,000 brick per day. In 1959 operations were moved to a larger facility in Dallas. Still making all of its products by hand, production increased to 20,000 brick per day. Expanding again in 1965, Bilco Brick moved to its current location in Lancaster, Texas, just south of Dallas. Today, Bilco is the largest independent brick manufacturer in Texas with a production capacity of more than 100 million brick per year. Dedicated to quality and craftsmanship, Bilco Brick proudly employs an in-house staff of engineers. Working to improve automation processes in the brick industry, Bilco Brick and its engineers have successfully patented new equipment and earned the reputation as industry leaders.
