Description

Diversity: We provide services that meet the needs of our whole community. We value our unique cultures and differences as individuals.

Bill Wilson Center promotes a culture that values excellence and continual improvement. We work hard on adhering to established standards of excellence and accepted best practices. By integrating these standards into everything we do as an agency, we ensure that the service we provide is the highest quality, that our administration is efficient and accountable, and that our resources are fully committed to our mission to serve those in crisis and prevent homelessness.

Bill Wilson Center is also working closely with Juvenile Probation and San Jose Police Department in diverting youth from further penetration into the juvenile justice system through our Restorative Justice Program and Direct Referral Program (DRP). DRP was established to provide services to youth 14 years and younger for first time offenses to prevent them from re-offending. Juvenile Probation is placing adjudicated youth into MTFC homes as an alternative to incarceration.

Under the supervision of the Program Manager NOVA Work Experience, the Case Manager/ Job Coach is responsible for providing comprehensive employment services, coaching and activities services to youth in program in accordance with WIA regulations.

Bill Wilson Center has been working on the County level with the Juvenile Probation Department to support their efforts in keeping youth 13 years and under out of Juvenile Hall. Bill Wilson Center’s crisis residential program has been designated as an alternative for providing housing and services to this population pending adjudication.
