Why do we scan using RGB color mode instead of CMYK? Our images are intended to be as versatile as possible. When an image is converted from RGB to CMYK several factors are taken into consideration. The output device, the specific inks used, the paper or film substrate, dot gain on the printing press, and many other factors have to be accounted for. You, the customer, will achieve higher quality reproduction if you apply the custom set of printing conditions to the conversion to CMYK color mode.
