Our business has evolved through several iterations of previous owners including large corporations such as Ciba Geigy, FMC, Great Lakes Chemical, Chemtura, and even some private equity companies. A significant step was taken in 2011 when BWA Water Additives became a part of the Berwind Corporation (Philadelphia, Pa.), a fifth-generation, family-owned investment management company who has a “buy and hold” approach. As a stand-alone, privately held business with a long-term investor owner like Berwind, BWA Water Additives is now well-positioned to grow its business.

Technical Support - Flocon multi-regional technical teams have a combined experience of more that 100 years in desalination. Flocon technical teams are available regionally to provide chemical support within a 24 hour response time.

BWA's Belclene scale and corrosion inhibitor products have been specifically designed to meet the most demanding needs of our customers - for both technical performance and environmental acceptability. The maleic, phosphinocarboxylic and phosphonocarboxylic acid technology on which BWA products are based has led to additives which out-perform polyacrylates and acrylic copolymers under a wide variety of conditions.
