BioBalance 4 Women was founded by Dr. Kathy C. Maupin in 2002 to provide bioidentical hormone pellet therapy to women suffering symptoms of menopause. In 2003 Dr. Maupin created BioBalance 4 Men in response to female patients’ requests to provide similar treatment to their husbands who were suffering symptoms of andropause. Since then she has treated thousands men and women with bioidentical hormones. In 2006 Dr. Maupin created her botanical skin care line of spa quality products for dry, oily and normal skin for women and men. In May of 2010 the two companies were combined into one company called BioBalance Health.

Wendy is a certified medical assistant with special training in gynecology, bioidentical hormones, and plastic surgery. She has been employed by Dr. Maupin for over 10 years and has experience assisting a prominent St. Louis plastic surgeon who trained her in facial peels and other aesthetic treatments.Her role with BioBalance Health is to initially communicate with and schedule patients for consults, evaluation and treatment by the Nurse Practitioners and Dr. Maupin, both in Kansas City and St. Louis.

Angie is a certified medical assistant with special training in Gynecology, bioidentical hormones. She has been employed by Dr. Maupin for over 5 years. Her role with BioBalance Health is to initially communicate with and schedule patients for consults, evaluation and treatment by the Nurse Practitioners and Dr. Maupin, both in Kansas City and St. Louis. She also takes care of patients in the office, and assists in the pellet insertions.

Sandi Redhage has been a Nurse Practitioner working in Dr. Maupin’s St. Louis office for over 12 years. This interview began with Sandi describing her parent’s situation with aging. Five years ago, her mother was 79 years old and suffering from chronic headaches, fatigue, depression and other symptoms of aging. She started her bioidentical pellets treatments at that time and now, five years later, she says she feels better than she did at age 40. Her dad, two-and-a-half years ago, was confined to a wheelchair. But since going on pellets, he’s now walking the dog without aid of any kind.
