Founded in 1979 by Dr. Carley Ward, BEI began by providing research services to the U.S. and Canadian governments in the area of transportation safety. Over the years, the scope of the services provided by our company has expanded. Today our clients include attorneys, physicians, insurance companies, government agencies, and private individuals. We assess a variety of events and activities which can cause injury, such as motor vehicle accidents; amusement park rides; various athletic pursuits; shootings; child abuse; and job related accidents.

Responsible for directing the personnel, injury investigations, and research performed by the company. Biodynamics Engineering, Inc. is a rapidly growing, biomechanical consulting company, specializing in injury evaluation. The company currently maintains a staff of 10 engineers and professionals. Consultant services have been provided for government agencies such as the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Canadian government, and U.S. Department of Transportation, as well as the Universities of Michigan, Iowa and California.

Responsible for the development of visual aids for litigation including photography, video, computer animations, and simulations. Experienced in photo documentation of evidence, including use of high magnification techniques. Responsible for operation of the company's darkroom. Prepared numerous videotapes for use in litigation since 1980. Conducted and supervised all aspects of video production and post-production. Experienced in the enhancement of video images for use as evidence. Currently in charge of company's audio/video editing facilities.
