BioSystem Development creates, manufactures, and markets system products for unmet customer needs in the fields of biotechnology & life science research. The company was founded in 2002 with the initial goal of commercializing its lead product, the AbMate Protein Analysis System. AbMate combines a new consumable assay separation device with instrumentation for liquid handling and optical detection to enable ELISA-type immunoassays in 15 minutes or less, as well as microliter-scale sample purification for applications such as mass spectrometry.
