Why "Blue Lamb"? If the Blue Lamb seems like an unexpected choice for a stained glass window or for the name of a church web site, we could not agree more! There are days when it feels more like it chose us instead of the other way around. Here's the story... When Shepherd of Life dedicated its new sanctuary in 2001 the centerpiece was a magnificent stained glass window featuring the elements of Psalm 23. The artist included swirling colors of green and blue for the green pastures and still waters. If you look closely in the top right corner you can also see the crosses of Calvary. Let us know if you can find the dove. (Hint: It's much, much bigger than you would first guess). But why the "Blue Lamb"? White would be the conventional choice. Short answer. We still do not know what the artist had in mind, but maybe it's God's little way of saying do not get too caught up in labels or stereotypes. Maybe it's an artistic and beautiful reminder that each and every person is unique and loved by God. That's what we think and as you browse our website or visit in person we believe that you too will begin to see why God's love really does come in all shapes, sizes and colors!
