We’re happy to expand our product line to continue to better serve you and your family.
The roots of Blue Runner Foods date back to 1918, when the Union Canning Company began canning fresh fruits and a variety of other items. In 1946, the company moved to its current location in Gonzales, Louisiana, where all of our products are still produced to this day. Four years later, our signature Creole Cream Style beans were introduced, based on our founder’s grandmother’s home recipe. Using a time-honored, slow-cooked recipe, Blue Runner Beans simmered their way into a true local favorite.
At Blue Runner Foods we make authentic Louisiana Creole meal solutions. And we’ve been doing it for nearly a century. Our traditional recipes and slow-cooking methods produce cream style beans native to Southern Louisiana, along with Creole meal bases for gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya and other time-honored Louisiana dishes. We invite our customers to add a personal touch to our products. Our creamy red beans and creole meal bases are authentic and really good, but we know how much fun it is to participate in the final outcome of any recipe.
