Description
I try to have much of the initial work on a book take place at our office. Pascale Constantin came from Montreal and stayed for three days while she sketched Mother Goose Manners. Yuki Kido (Posey Prefers Pink) frequently sketches in our New Jersey office so that she receives immediate feedback from Elliot Kreloff, our associate publisher. Because they live across the country, we have regular phone meetings with Lisa Campbell Ernst (Round Like a Ball) and Simms Taback (Safari Animals). Without the immediacy of a direct and personal response, a book is in danger of losing its unique flavor.
