Description

In the late 1980s, MBG created sales agreements which served as contracts for MBG to represent non-member blueberry producers. These agreements allowed MBG to source blueberries from Arkansas (Ozark Blueberries), Mississippi and Louisiana (Miss-Lou Blueberries) and North Carolina (Great Sunbelt) while developing new relationships in these regions that could lead to MBG membership. The availability of North Carolina blueberries opened East Coast markets for MBG throughout its marketing season.
