The Body Image Counseling Center’s expertise sets it apart from other facilities. The Center’s registered dietitian has over twenty years of experience in treating eating disorders in children and adults. She works with a top-notch multidisciplinary team which can meet the most complex of emotional and nutritional needs. Our dietitian works with referring physicians to determine the best nutritional program for each patient and keeps the referring physician apprised of the patient’s condition. She creates a partnership with clients to achieve the goal for them to take responsibility and control of a lifestyle change towards healthy eating and behavior. The fee for nutrition counseling is pro-rated at $115/hour, and $80/hour for students. Time spent depends upon the complexity of the condition. The initial session is one and a half hours, with hour to half-hour follow-up sessions. Some insurance companies will cover the cost of nutrition counseling for some diagnoses. If this is a concern, be sure to contact the insurance provider before the appointment. We also offer lower-cost group nutrition therapy at $45/session once the client has received an individualized assessment with the nutritionist.
