Bloomin’ Brands was founded in the late 1980s and is comprised of more than 1,400 Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Gril, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Roy’s and Outback Steakhouse restaurants globally. BRR was hired to provide services for the Carrabba’s program because of our national reach and extensive experience working with both prototypes and remodel projects. Specifically, our scope of work includes creating construction documents that clearly communicate prototype requirements, and verifying the prototype fits into existing conditions.

The firm was founded in 1963 as Franklin Frieze Architects in Kansas City, Mo., by Bill Franklin and C.I. Frieze. Since then, we have grown to more than 200 professionals across BRR’s eight regional offices, and our portfolio of work has expanded into a diverse portfolio of projects. While our work, structure and leadership have evolved throughout the years, we pride ourselves on maintaining the values we were founded on – to provide exceptional service, develop and maintain long-term relationships, and strive for the continual development and improvement of our services and ourselves.

Diversity is key with John’s design studio. His approach to teamwork has been effective in developing and maintaining long-term grocery and supermarket clients as well as providing site-adapt design services for retail home improvement facilities and fueling stations across the country. John’s ability to adapt and customize BRR’s architectural services to a wide variety of clients is testimony and acknowledgement to his success. His studio’s project experience recently consists of lodging/hotel work as well as extending internationally with projects in Mexico and India.

As a senior principal at BRR, Boyd has a diverse architectural portfolio providing design and project management services for national retail, specialty grocery, theatre and healthcare projects nationwide. With experience implementing both national and international building programs, he has been instrumental in assisting our clients’ growth strategies by placing exceptional consideration in understanding their design objectives, as well as their overall business goals.
