Boise Cascade Holdings is a company that resulted after a merger between two of the bigger lumber corporations in the US, namely the Boise Payette Company out of Boise, Idaho and the Cascade Company which operated out of Yakima, Washington. These two lumber giants decided to integrate into one big company in 1957, hence the creation of the company Boise Cascade Holdings. The company's corporate headquarters is in Boise, Idaho with numerous outlets for the products the company produces peppered all over the United States. Although there is a company that is called Cascades in Canada, which also produces paper products, this company is in no way related to the Boise Cascade Holdings in the US. The company called Boise Cascade Holdings is actually ranked 13 in the list of the biggest forest product companies in the world.
