Challenge: Hayzor Concrete Countertops is a small workshop in Chandler Arizona that wanted to attract a new customer base in contractors and builders. Their identity and marketing materials were haphazard at best. They didn't have a huge budget, but they knew that to be able to present themselves to potential clients in a memorable way, they needed to polish their image and look like the professionals they were. Solution: Style and design were the most important elements in the design strategy. We first looked at what the decision-makers in construction, decorating and contracting were seeing from larger companies. Concrete countertops are a high-end decorating solution that is very flexible, attractive and more affordable than granite. If a decorator specs concrete, we found that is is more often an aesthetic decision. Creating the countertops is a hands-on, custom experience. Every piece is unique, and can be customized in a variety of ways. It was decided to use a color scheme evocative of the finished product, as well as textures. A classical typeface was chosen to complement the updated, old-world style.The finished product has served them well and allowed them to get noticed by potential new clients.
