We’re excited to announce that industry veteran Will Daniels has the Born Guitars team to manage production and further develop our product offerings of high-end, sustainably built guitars. Will brings with him over two decades of experience in crafting guitars, most notably having spent seven years at Parker Guitars where he played a critical role in the creation and management of the Parker Custom Shop, while also being intimately involved in all aspects of the company’s production and R&D efforts.

We offer 12 types of woods for the bodies, necks, and fretboards, and this selection is at the crux of the company’s sustainability efforts. All of our tone wood is 100% legally harvested and sourced in a sustainable manner. Many of our woods originate right here in the United States, but for those woods that are not domestic, we provide documentation indicating that they were legally imported and are Lacey Act compliant (link to blog).

Hailing from North Carolina, Campbell moved to Colorado in 2011. Campbell was attending graduate school and playing in bands in the Boulder area when he first met Jay. The two immediately recognized a shared passion for guitars and a sustainable approach to business. Campbell initially began working with Jay helping with business planning and market research, before ultimately becoming a co-founder of the company. Campbell handles all marketing and PR activities as well as quality control inspection.

Born Custom Guitars was founded in 2011 around the belief that every guitarist deserves access to high-quality, sustainably-built instruments. Instruments as unique as the artist themselves. Instruments that you can’t find on the wall at your local music store. After months of planning, designing, prototyping and getting feedback from local musicians, Born officially launched in the spring of 2013.
