Whether you are a wine connoisseur or new to the joy of tasting and drinking wine, our goal is to make wine shopping pleasant and easy.Bob and Fabia Massaro, proprietors of Terranova Fine Wines, opened the shop on November 13, 1999. There are always inquiries about the name “Terranova”. The Italian translation is “new land” or “new world” depending on the dictionary being used. Bob’s mother’s maiden name is Terranova, and he had a close relationship with his maternal grandparents. The memory of Carmelo Terranova (Bob’s grandfather) making homemade wine remains vivid in his mind. The wine was red, full bodied and delicious. When it came time to name the wine shop, “Terranova” was a natural.Terranova Fine Wines has 1,000 different brands in our inventory, and we have access to thousands more. The retail shop is located in historic downtown Monterey. Plenty of parking is available in two City garages only one short block away. We provide FREE delivery to the entire Monterey Peninsula and Highway 68 communities. The shop is open 10am to 8pm daily.
