Description

The historic Boulder Dam Hotel, once a stopping place for the celebrities and royalty in those early days, now revitalized and home to the Chamber of Commerce, the Boulder City Arts Council, the Hoover Dam Museum, fine boutiques and an excellent restaurant. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Boulder City has a fascinating history as the first "planned community" in America. It was designed and built to provide shelter to thousands of workers on the Hoover Dam (then known as The Boulder Canyon Project). Held over from its early beginnings, there is still no gambling permitted in Boulder City, the only community in Nevada with that distinction. The well preserved Historic District provides a glimpse of the 1930's. Stroll along the picturesque walkways offering unique shops, antique stores, and quaint restaurants. Our hotels and motels provide convenient access to Lake Mead, with adequate parking for boats and RV's, in addition to several RV parks...
