At the current time, privacy law in the US is vastly different from privacy law in the European Union. In the U.S., privacy law at the federal level is regulated only in specific areas – data related to children (under the age of 13), data related to financial accounts ( Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act , or simply “GLB”), and data related to protected health information, or more commonly, “PHI”, under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) .

Josh Glikin is the partner that manages the litigation team in the firm’s intellectual property department. He has experience litigating intellectual property matters in federal courts throughout the country, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement litigation, trade secret misappropriation, and software disputes. Mr. Glikin also has general litigation experience that includes breach of contract, employment and securities law claims.
