BPW has been a leader in passing much of the landmark civil and women's rights legislation of the 20th century. BPW/Raleigh, one of the oldest local BPW organizations in the United States was founded in 1919. We work to obtain personal, professional and political growth for working women. We are proud to count among our members working women in all positions including business owners, corporate executives, professionals, and elected officials. Why join BPW/Raleigh: magazine - What the national organization does: BPW Foundation works to improve programming and resources for working women and employers seeking to create equitable workplaces. BPW Foundation supports workforce development programs and workplace policies that recognize the diverse needs of working women, communities and businesses.
