Brake Systems Inc. is a 35 year old domestic manufacturer of certain specialty brake products as described below. Our manufacturing skills are enhanced by a long history or remanufacturing. We know what fails and why and what won't and why. Die Casting equipment is all designed and manufactured in Portland by veterans in the business. Lead time is minimal due to our location. BSI personnel includes those with many years experience in automotive/truck component design, application and fleet maintenance.

Williams Controls is the leader in Throttle Controls for over 40 years. Air Throttles were first designed in the 60's and the Electronic Throttle in the 90's.

We specialize in the manufacture, remanufacture and distribution of air, electronic, vacuum, pneumatic and exhaust braking systems. At BSI we manufacture Air Cylinders, Air Valves and Exhaust Brakes. We remanufacture Green Air Air Compressors, Brake Boosters, We are a stocking distributor for several major brands including Blue Ox Exhaust Brakes, Del Hydraulics, Haldex/Midland, MGM, Mico, Wagner/Federal Mogul and Williams Controls. BRAKE SYSTEMS INC. was founded in 1973 as a Warehouse Distributor, with a considerable background in Williams Controls, Bendix, and Midland. BSI has grown from just a distributor to a full fleged, ISO 9001:2008 certified and ITAR registered manufacturer, remanufacturer and engineer of quality brakes, valves, compressors and much more.
