An Evening of Excellence Hosts a Unique Vendor Showcase Claymont, DE, April 6, 2006 - The Patio, also known as the Raskob Mansion on the campus of Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware,was the setting for a special event showcase, An Evening of Excellence. The event featured the work of the best and brightest professionals in event planning, staging, catering, lighting, entertainment, floral and linen decorations from Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia. Orchestrated by Leslie Lundgaard, President of BRAVO! Events, over 350 corporate event attendees experienced an evening of exceptional hors d’oeuvres, fine wine and fabulous décor in an elegant event venue. “We wanted the corporate community to see and taste firsthand the contribution of events professionals we have in the region while showcasing an extraordinary and glamorous setting,” said Lundgaard.The former country estate of financier John J. Raskob now stands on the campus of Archmere Academy, a Roman Catholic, independent, college preparatory school. The mansion is unlike other residences turned event sites. The baronial Raskob Mansion offers sponsors a choice of a formal indoor courtyard known as The Patio. Inside, a sponsor can seat up to 275 guests for dinner. The courtyard’s adjoining rooms provide sponsors with unique settings for smaller break-away sessions, board meetings, off-site conferences and private luncheons and dinners. The outdoor space, with or without tenting, offers unlimited options for a sponsors needs. “The Raskob Mansion is absolutely stunning,” said Patricia Gurev, of MySherpa. “A setting of old world elegance mixed with a first class event makes this the best venue around.”
