The company was founded in 1964 when Miller Gorrie purchased the construction assets of Thos. C. Brasfield, General Contractor, for $45,000. In 1967, Mr. Gorrie changed the company’s name and moved its offices to the current headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. Since that time, Brasfield & Gorrie has established offices in Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia; Dallas, Texas; Jacksonville and Orlando, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and Raleigh, North Carolina. The company employs approximately 2,600 employees, and its annual revenues are approximately $2.3 billion.
