Gilbert Allen Smith, Sr., 68, of Afton, OK, formerly of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 4:35 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2014, at Integris Grove General Hospital, Grove, OK. He was born June 15, 1945, at Wichita Falls, TX, the son of Robert T. and Cleo Lorraine (Flatt) Smith. He attended schools there and graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High in 1964. Mr. Smith served in Vietnam. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp, United States Army and the Army Reserves for over 24 years. On March 16, 1972, he was united in marriage to Donna Josephine Davied at Wichita Falls, TX.
