The employee has ONLY ONE free choice physician. If you intend to exert that right, CHOSE CAREFULLY, or leave it to an experienced attorney. Each case and doctor is different. Longshore cases are a unique item, not all doctors know how to handle a workers’ compensation case, not all doctors who know workers’ compensation know Longshore, and not all doctors are working exclusively for the benefit of the injured worker.
