Brighton Development Corporation was created by Linda Donaldson Peggy Lucas, and Richard Brustad in 1981. Combining their varied experience in finance, marketing, social work and public administration, Brighton set out to pursue development in the City at a time when suburban development was more lucrative and lower in risk. This innate desire to make urban areas a better place to live for people at all income levels has put Brighton in the center of some extremely challenging development efforts.
