Description

Drug-Eluting Stent for the airway bypass procedure -- a minimally-invasive treatment being studied to relieve emphysema symptoms. Airway bypass creates new pathways in the lung for trapped air to escape and may potentially improve breathing mechanics, pulmonary function, and quality of life of people with emphysema. Airway bypass is performed under direct visualization through a bronchoscope in a single session by thoracic surgeons and pulmonologists. Broncus currently is enrolling subjects in the EASE Trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of airway bypass.
