Brydelle Farm, located in Gloucester County on Virginia's Middle Peninsula, is a small, private farm that instructs, trains, and sells hunter-jumper horses.It has been Danielle’s lifelong dream to have a competitive training farm. She, along with her supportive and handy husband, Bryan, bought a small horse farm in Gloucester County Virginia after their marriage in the fall of 2000. At that time, it was an aging farm in need of lots of TLC. While necessary repairs began immediately, renovations have slowly continued, and they are looking forward to continuing the improvement process over the months and years to come. Danielle and Bryan live at Brydelle Farm which, along with the small nature of the operation, allows for consistent and personalized care and management of each horse. Danielle’s knowledge of horses is extensive and far-reaching. She grew up on a very successful breeding farm, and was exposed to mare, foal, and stallion management from a very early age. She began formal dressage lessons as an early teen, and then moved onto hunter lessons under the instruction of two successful Virginia trainers. She rode competitively as a catch rider, quickly becoming known for riding unruly and/or green horses; many times showing sales horses as they came off of trailers with minimal warm up time. While obtaining her bachelors degree in chemistry and biochemistry at North Carolina State University, she rode on the intercollegiate team as a freshman, and began building an impressive and loyal clientele of horses and riders. Her students have won on the local, rated, intercollegiate and national level, most notably, two youth national champions in 1996. Danielle has not only continued to gain knowledge in riding, training and instructional techniques, she has also continued her academic education. Danielle graduated in December 2003 with a degree in Veterinary Technology, passed her national examination boards, and received her Veterinary Technician License from the Commonwealth of Virginia in June 2004 . She has an extensive background in veterinary medicine, including working at the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in Virology and Cardiology. Over the past few years, dividing her time between Tidewater Veterinary Cardiology as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and practice manager and Brydelle Farm, has kept Danielle’s time in the show ring to a minimum. However, a great deal of time has been dedicated to focusing on renovating and establishing her young farm as well as building professional relationships that will ensure its future success. Along with returning to the show ring on a more regular basis, Danielle’s goals over the next one to two years include becoming a certified riding instructor and a starting the long and arduous process of becoming a licensed USEF judge.
