Description

One of my all time favorite movies is the holiday classic, "It's a Wonderful Life." In that film George Bailey has the opportunity to understand the impact of his life on his community by seeing what life would have been like in Bedford Falls had he never been born. It's a story of servanthood and a reminder of the difference a lifetime of small, but consistent goodness can make to countless others. But at its core is the obvious connection between present action and the future it brings. We grew up listening to a truth that we are all products of our past. That the experiences of our childhood and teenage years have molded us into the person we are today. That is a truth but not the only truth. As believers we understand that God has a plan for our lives--"they are plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope." (Jer. 29:11).
