Project management is the process by which a project is brought to a successful conclusion. The most common responsibilities of a Construction Manager fall into the following 7 categories: Project Management Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Safety Management, and CM Professional Practice, which includes specific activities like defining the responsibilities and management structure of the project management team, organizing and leading by implementing project controls, defining roles and responsibilities and developing communication protocols, and identifying elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.

Building Ventures manages the day-to-day work of all the entities involved on a project, while you, the owner, retain all the decision making authority, and all the contractual relationships flow back to you. I manage your construction project for you, operating as an extension of your staff. I represent your interests, while leveraging the best possible performance out of all the entities employed by you. Construction is all about contracts and professional relationships. The primary ones are design services and construction, but there are numerous others to deal with, too, like testing services, vendors for telecommunications, furniture, audio/visual setups, data and networking systems, food services, signage, and moving, just to name a few. Then there are the landlord, local and state regulatory boards and agencies, who will have a lot to say about what you can and can't do.
