Dr. David Byers, a long-time Colorado Springs resident, attended Cheyenne Mountain High School, Pikes Peak Community College, and UCCS (the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs). He completed his postgraduate doctoral studies at Palmer Chiropractic College in Iowa, and has been a practicing chiropractor in Colorado Springs since 1986. Dr. Byers was inspired to become a chiropractor during his recovery from a sports injury. Over the years, he has helped many people deal with injury and pain, and realized the potential for helping people go beyond crisis management to a greater well being. He has immersed himself in the study of wellness, and created a practice dedicated to supporting wellness and to increasing the quality of life of the patients he sees. Methods used by Dr. Byers include activator, Gonstead, Palmer package, Thompson drop, S.O.T., diversified, and flexion-distraction. Additional therapies offered through Byers Family Chiropractic include acupuncture, massage therapy, physiotherapy, and decompression therapy.
