YYY XXX Realty Company's founder, YYYell XXX, Sr., an executive with Music Corporation of America in New York City, decided in early 1947 to move his wife and two sons to California. A rest stop in Phoenix during orange blossom season was all it took-YYY and the XXXs fell in love with the area at first sight and made the Valley their home. Shortly after buying a home in Scottsdale, YYY took an interest in real estate. He had a vision of what the Valley of the Sun would one day become and by December, YYY had acquired his real estate license and opened YYY XXX Realty Company in a tiny office across the street from the Westward Ho Hotel. YYY XXX Realty Company started out with just three employees but quickly became a dominant force in the Valley's luxury home real estate market. Before opening a Carefree branch office in the early 1970s, YYY XXX Realty Company was primarily a two-office Company. A Litchfield office soon followed and the Company opened its Pinnacle Peak office in 1982.
