Founded in 1990, COSACOSA art at large, Inc. builds civic engagement in Philadelphia communities through active participation in the creative process. Through collaborative art workshops, neighborhood-based artist residencies, and media projects, COSACOSA works to regain art's original role as a gathering force for community healing, participation, and collaboration. COSACOSA creates a sense of equality among people of diverse backgrounds and differing abilities, while building their participation in local communities, as well as in society at large.
