Welcome to CPP CPP was the first US company to provide wind engineering services to architects and engineers. Our founders helped create the tools and methods that remain the standards of the industry. Today, CPP is a leading international engineering firm providing consulting services for wind effects on buildings and structures, exhaust dispersion for commercial, academic, and industrial facilities, and air flow in and around buildings.

Dr. Matthew Glanville is a founding director of CPP’s Sydney office. In this role, he advances CPP’s goal of providing high-quality wind engineering services to the international market, specifically in Australia and the Southeast Asia Region. Matt’s approach is to maximize client value by first identifying key aspects of design that will benefit from wind engineering and then using CPP’s worldwide resources to bring these benefits to fruition. Matt’s priority for each project is the timely delivery of key results and working with design teams to ensure implementation.

At CPP, John has been instrumental in developing tools to aid in modeling of internal building airflow patterns using pressure coefficient data measured in CPP’s wind tunnels. This technique, which uses the pressure data in conjunction with existing numerical models, has been used to evaluate natural ventilation in high-rise buildings and to provide solutions for ventilation problems in existing facilities.

Everyone involved in the development, construction, maintenance, and operation of a new building has a stake in the building’s success. But, ultimately, it’s the owner’s investment that makes a new building a reality. CPP has worked with building owners from the very beginning, and we recognize the unique challenges you face. To respond to the needs of the commercial sector for a wind tunnel testing facility, Dr. Cermak and Dr. Jon Peterka , another leading engineer on the CSU faculty, co-founded Cermak Peterka and Associates (CP/A) in 1981. Three years later, Dr. Ron Petersen brought his expertise in pollution dispersion and meteorology to the organization, which was then renamed Cermak Peterka Petersen, Inc. (CPP). Together, our three founders alone represent more than 110 years of experience in wind engineering.
